The Vice-Chancellor Launches Modern Lecture Halls at Odera Akang'o Campus

Maseno University Vice Chancellor), Prof. Julius O. Nyabundi, officially opened three new state-of-the-art lecture halls at the Odera Akang'o Campus in Yala today 9th April, 2025.
The event, which was attended by staff, students, and local dignitaries, marks a significant development in the expansion of the Campus' facilities to enhance the learning experience.
Prof. Nyabundi took a moment to acknowledge and appreciate the patience of the students, many of whom had been transferred to Odera Akang'o Campus as part of the University's ongoing efforts to decongest its Main Campus in Maseno. He commended them for their resilience and commitment to their education despite the challenges they faced in adapting to the new environment.

Student representatives from the Campus voiced their gratitude for the new infrastructure and also presented a request for a rugby field to enhance their extracurricular activities.
In response, the VC assured them that plans are underway to establish a new field, affirming the University’s commitment to supporting the holistic development of its students.
He encouraged students to take advantage of the resources already available to them, including the University’s well-equipped library.
The Vice-Chancellor highlighted several other developments at the campus, including the installation of CCTV cameras to enhance security, the installation of a fully functional generator to ensure uninterrupted power supply, and the refurbishment of various campus facilities.
