Maseno University 2024/2025 First Years Orientation Ceremony

On Friday 30th of August 2024, the Vice-Chancellor of Maseno university Prof. Julius Nyabundi had an invaluable moment to interact with the 2024/2025 first years during an orientation ceremony that was held in the University Graduation Square.
Prof. Nyabundi therefore, congratulated the first years for tirelessly working hard to pass in their 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) in order to acquire a chance in the institution. Consequently, the Vice-Chancellor emphasized the importance of discipline during their stay in the University.
 

Nonetheless, Prof. Nyabundi urged the students to put all their focus in their studies for the betterment of their future lives since that’s what they were called upon to undertake. He reminded them that Maseno University is the only university lying on the equator across the globe thereby creating a unique environment for studies.
In matters pertaining security, Maseno University is fully responsible for it since there’s a good rapport among the students, the university security officers and the police earning the institution the most secured place to stay without any doubt. Notwithstanding, Maseno university is responsible for accommodating all the students who wants to stay within the varsity hostels including all first years.
 

Prof. Nyabundi went on and urged all the students not to fall in unnecessary relationships that may lead them to do mischievous things like suicide, poor performance, et cetera. Prof. did not forget to boast about the University facilities such as the New Library which is recognized as the largest Library in Kenya, Prof. George Magoha Complex formally known as the New Tuition Block notwithstanding the quality education various schools provide for instance the school of medicine which makes Maseno get a nationwide recognition as the University offering the best Medicine courses across the nation.
