Currently, I am Acting Deputy Vice Chancellor Partnership, Research & Innovation (DVC PRI) and also Professor of Mathematics. Nationally, I serve as the Chairman of Kenya Inter-University Council of Mathematics and Computer Science Institutions. This is an association of Mathematics and Computer Science Lecturers in Kenyan Universities. I am a member of several national and regional professional organizations. At undergraduate level, I teach Calculus, Real and Complex Analysis, Functional Analysis, Analytical Geometry, Linear Algebra and Topology and at postgraduate level, I teach General Topology, Functional Analysis, Operator Algebra and I supervise both MSc and PhD students working in Operator Algebra. I obtained my PhD (Pure Mathematics) from the University of Birmingham in 1992. My research interest is in Elementary Operators, Completely Positive and Completely Bounded Maps
